A 23-year-old man who was reported missing earlier this month has been confirmed to be the person whose remains were found in a Riversdale house last week.
Eagleson Thomas was last seen on Aug. 14 in Saskatoon. A missing persons report was made on Sept. 10. In a media release, Saskatoon police said the file was “immediately followed up on” by the missing persons patrol constable and detectives with the missing persons unit.
According to the release, police received additional information that he may have been injured or dead inside a house in the 400 block of Avenue G South.
Officers then went to the home and found the remains.
Thomas’s aunt, who spoke to The StarPhoenix last Thursday, said her family was repeatedly directed to the house by people who gave them tips during their search for him. She said she last heard from her younger sister’s son on Aug. 10, when he told her he was going to hang out with his “bros.”
