In a tweet, Melfort Mustangs offered their condolences, as did the Tisdale Trojans – both teams that Ashe played on.

You are in our thoughts and prayers. 💙💚 pic.twitter.com/efly9aDdwT — Melfort Mustangs (@SJHL_Mustangs) September 20, 2020
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Ashe family and everyone effected by the loss of Dylan. Rest In Peace, to an incredible young man. Once a Trojan, always a Trojan. You will be deeply missed. ♥️ pic.twitter.com/UJC8a58wwL — Tisdale Trojans (@TisdaleTrojans) September 20, 2020
Della remembers her son as “the most easy-going, fun loving, and never in a rush for anything” type of guy.
“My favourite thing was when he would come home and go directly to each of us and give us a big hug.”
She says he was making his last trip out to the lake before heading home before the starts of his second season with the Melfort Mustangs.
“He was looking forward to seeing all his hockey buddies,” she wrote.
“I’m comforted knowing he was doing everything he loved to do, but unfortunately never fulfilled his dreams here.”
Dylan’s aunt has created a GoFundMe page to help pay for funeral costs.
