فرانسه واکسن کووید-۱۹ فایزر را برای همه کودکان ۵ تا ۱۱ ساله تایید کرده است

لیز آلتر، یکی از پزشکانی که وظیفه ارزیابی خطر داروهای جدید را بر عهده دارد، گفت: این واکسن که زمانی که به طور گسترده در دسترس قرار گیرد به شکل اطفال تزریق می شود، کارایی بالایی در کودکان نشان داده است.

او افزود: «HAS به همه والدینی که می‌خواهند این واکسن را برای کودکان خود در سنین 5 تا 11 سال پیشنهاد می‌کند.

هفته گذشته، فرانسه واکسیناسیون کودکان 5 تا 11 ساله را با شرایط پزشکی که نیاز به حفاظت ویژه و تدارکات سختگیرانه دارند، آغاز کرد تا واکسیناسیون را به همه کودکان در این گروه سنی پس از تایید HAS انجام دهد.

امانوئل مکرون، رئیس‌جمهور فرانسه هفته گذشته گفت که از واکسیناسیون کودکان حمایت می‌کند، اما افزود که این تصمیم باید برای والدین باقی بماند.

آلتر گفت که اگرچه کووید-19 به ندرت باعث علائم شدید در کودکان می شود، 80 درصد از اشکال شدید این بیماری کودکان را بدون شرایط قبلی تحت تاثیر قرار می دهد.

وی افزود: با ظهور نوع Omicron که مسری‌تر از نوع دلتا است، می‌توان انتظار افزایش اشکال شدید در کودکان بدون شرایط بهداشتی از قبل را داشت.

از آنجایی که آژانس دارویی اروپا (EMA) در ماه گذشته استفاده از دوز پایین‌تر واکسن Pfizer-BioNTech را برای گروه سنی 5 تا 11 سال تأیید کرد، چندین کشور در اتحادیه اروپا واکسیناسیون کودکان در این گروه سنی را آغاز کرده‌اند.
