Blaine Lake RCMP search for two suspects in assault, truck theft

Blaine Lake RCMP are looking for two suspects in the assault of a 79-year-old man.

The man was found lying on the ground in front of a building in Blaine Lake around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, RCMP said in a news release. He  was treated and cleared at the scene by EMS.

Initial investigation found the man was assaulted by two unknown males after refusing their request to drive them to Prince Albert.

They took his cellphone and keys before fleeing in his grey 2007 Ford F150 truck with Saskatchewan licence plate 167 IUM. They were believed to have travelled north on Highway 40, RCMP said.

The first suspect is described as having a heavy build with long hair. The second is described as younger than the first, with a slim build.
