Employee at 22nd Street McDonald's tests positive for COVID-19

A Saskatoon McDonald’s worker has tested positive for COVID-19, forcing the 22nd Street West location to close temporarily to undergo sanitization procedures.

According to a press release issued by McDonald’s Canada, the employee reported to the restaurant on Friday  that they had tested positive for COVID-19, the decision was then made to immediately shut the location and have asked all employees that had been in close contact with the individual to self-quarantine.

The employee had worked their last shift on Sept. 13 between11:00 a .m. to 7:00 p.m., the release said.

McDonald’s did not specify a reopening time for the restaurant as it undergoes cleaning and sanitization by a third party.
